Learn how Painless Blog Analytics can help you!
Hi, I’m Sherry!
Does the thought of opening up Google Analytics make you break out into a cold sweat? Do you just smile and nod like you know what it is when someone mentions Google Search Console?
I can help!
My goal here at Painless Blog Analytics is to help you understand what data about your blog that you should look at and how to get to that information easily.
Here are some of the ways I can help:
- Set up your Google Analytics and Search Console
- Confirm that your existing setup is correct
- Explain what all those terms and numbers mean
- Show what you can do with the data to improve your blog
- Help you decide what data is important to you based on your goals
- Teach you how to quickly and easily collect your important data
- Analyze your data for you and make recommendations
- Other projects related to your blog’s analytics
Send me an email at email@example.com, and let’s talk about your needs!
In 2012, I started Cub Scout Ideas, a blog that helps Cub Scout parents and leaders by giving them ideas, tips, and suggestions. Since that time, I’ve learned a lot!
One area that fascinated me was my blog’s data from Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and affiliate tracking. I realized that I could use that information to help manage my blog better.
But I discovered that not all bloggers are fascinated by all that data. In fact, I realized that many bloggers only look at high-level numbers and don’t dive into the data. Some seasoned bloggers have told me they get so confused by the numbers that they don’t even bother looking at them.
Are you in that boat? If you are, I want to help!
How did I become an analytics “nerd?”
Before I became a blogger, I worked at a large auto insurance company for 17 years. I don’t know how much you know about the insurance industry, but there’s a lot of numbers!
I never really considered myself a numbers person, but when you work with product managers and analysts every day, some of that wears off on you. 🙂 I began to see how data could be used to help make business decisions. And I learned that “data” isn’t always numbers.
When I started my blog, I heard a lot of folks talk about tracking your numbers, but I didn’t really understand what you would do with that information. Over time, it began to make sense to me.
To further my knowledge, I’ve taken several Google Analytics Academy courses including
- Google Analytics for Beginners
- Advanced Google Analytics
- Google Tag Manager Fundamentals
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Tulsa.
While working in the insurance industry, I earned the Certified Insurance Counselor and the Certified Risk Manager designations from the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research.
My Speaking Engagements
I hope by sharing what I’ve learned, you’ll be able to master this more quickly than I did.
