3 Powerful Google Analytics Tools You Didn’t Know You Needed – Part 3

Welcome to the final email in my series, “3 Powerful Google Analytics Tools You Didn't Know You Needed” series!

Today's tool is going to save you time! You can set up your account so that on the first day of every month, Google will email you a report telling you your monthly users, sessions, bounce rate, and average session duration for the month that just ended.

For example, your May 1st report will show your April results.

The report will compare these numbers to the previous month and will show you the percentage increase or decrease.

The report also shows the percent of your sessions by acquisition channel.

You'll probably want to dig deeper into the data, and the report gives you a convenient link that will take you directly into Analytics.

How Do You Get the Analytics Report?

If you want to start receiving the report, you have to sign up for it. Here's how you do that.

First, click on the Admin gear in the bottom left of your screen.

Next, follow these 5 steps.

  1. Select User at the top.
  2. Scroll just a bit until you see Google Analytics Email Communications.
  3. Click the box for Performance Suggestions and Updates.
  4. Look for the Emailed Analytics section. You may need to expand it so you can see the view for which you want the report.
  5. Check that view's box. The boxes are over on the right side of the screen.

And that's it! Every month, you'll get an email giving you all this great information!
