Resources and Services
This page contains affiliate links which means we receive a small commission at no cost to you when you make a purchase. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.
The Blog Fixer can help make permanent corrections to issues on your site without a plugin.
From making all of your affiliate links “nofollow” to removing all the links in your comments, The Blog Fixer offers many services, including custom solutions.
Create by Mediavine is another free plugin for everyone–even if you aren't a Mediavine publisher. Create allows you to craft multiple Schema.org types using just one plugin. Right now, you can use it for recipes, how-tos, and lists (perfect for roundups!).
Fiverr is a marketplace where you can purchase “gigs.” These gigs can be anything from designing a logo to creating a printable to being an all-around virtual assistant.
I've had some great experiences working with the freelancers on Fiverr, but I've had a few that weren't so great. So, keep that in mind when you're shopping.
Evernote is an awesome note-taking app that I have used for years. I have everything in there–including my furnace filter sizes because who remembers those when you're at the store to buy them?
Evernote has an app for your mobile devices, a desktop application, and a web application. All of these sync, so you'll always have the latest information.
Internal links are important for your site. But if you have lots of posts on the site, you may not remember that you have the perfect post to link to.
That's where Link Whisper comes in. It gives you relevant suggestions of posts that you can link to.
I love the Restored 316 WordPress themes! I use one on this site and one on my Cub Scout Ideas blog too. Even though they have a feminine look, you can easily customize them to suit your needs.
If you aren't sure what theme is best for your business, click on over and take their quiz!
Fast sites are super important these days. But many of us have huge image files on our sites, and that really slows things down. I have used ShortPixel to compress my images for the last 3 years, and I'm very happy with the results.
